Renting a Car for Travel Between Cities in Egypt

Before requesting a rental car for travel between Egyptian cities, send El Fahd your planned route, dates, passenger and luggage needs, and collection and return locations. Ask the team to confirm that the proposed use suits the vehicle and rental terms, then agree the kilometre allowance and complete price. El Fahd's rental terms say a booking is confirmed after the team approves the dates and car; a submitted request is not a confirmed travel arrangement.
What route information should you send?
A city name and a number of rental days may leave important questions unanswered. Explain where the journey starts, the main stops and where you expect to finish. Include the return journey when you will bring the car back to the original collection point.
1. List the cities you expect to visit, in order, and your rental dates.
2. State the collection location, intended return location and preferred handover times.
3. Explain the number of passengers, luggage needs and whether anyone else would drive.
4. Tell the team about uncertain plans and ask which changes need fresh approval.
For example, a request describing collection in Cairo, a stay in Alexandria and return in Cairo is more useful than asking only for a car for several days. This is a planning example, not approval for a route or a promise of vehicle availability.
How do you choose a suitable car?
Start with the people and bags that will actually travel. Ask about the specific vehicle's seating and usable luggage space, rather than assuming a class name tells you everything. Explain any passenger-access or loading needs before choosing.
An SUV may be an option to discuss, but its appearance does not establish permission to use unpaved roads or travel anywhere. Confirm the intended roads and permitted use with the team. A vehicle pictured in a guide does not establish that the same model is available for your dates.
What should you confirm about kilometres and costs?
El Fahd's current FAQ says the team confirms the included kilometres and extra-kilometre charge for your exact vehicle before booking. Ask whether the allowance covers the whole rental or is assessed daily, and how it applies to your itinerary.
Use the mileage planning guide to estimate the complete journey, including local trips and the return leg. Do not treat that estimate as a fixed final odometer reading or a guaranteed travel time.
Ask for a written breakdown of the rental amount and any separately agreed driver or delivery fee. Confirm how road tolls and parking costs would be handled rather than assuming they are included. Fuel is a separate item to plan; the pickup and return fuel guide explains the recorded-level check.
Can collection and return be in different cities?
Ask before relying on it. Travelling to another city and asking the team to collect the car there are different arrangements. Confirm whether your proposed return location is available, its exact meeting point and time, and whether it changes the total cost.
The current FAQ says delivery outside Cairo and Giza is arranged with the team. That statement does not guarantee a specific one-way rental, a fixed charge or collection at any address. Keep the agreed locations in the confirmed offer.
What should you agree about the driver and support?
State whether you want self-drive rental or need to request a driver. If requesting a driver, describe the whole itinerary, including multiple days or overnight stops, and ask the team to confirm the service scope and fee. Do not assume a delivery driver stays with you for the trip.
Before departure, ask which documents and permitted-driver details the team needs, how to reach them during the rental and what to do if the itinerary changes. Use the current contact page for available contact methods.
What belongs in your final request checklist?
Route and dates; passengers and luggage; suitable vehicle; who drives; kilometre allowance and extra-distance charge; rental total and separate fees; collection and return plan; and the changes that need confirmation. If your route or return appointment later changes, contact the team before relying on the new plan.
