Prepare the identity and driving documents

Check that your passport and driving licence will both be valid throughout the intended rental. El Fahd accepts Egyptian and international driving licences. Send the team a clear description of the licence you will present and ask them to confirm that it works for your requested car and trip before you arrive.

The company may need to inspect the original documents at handover. Ask which originals to bring and whether they want to review copies in advance.

Know what the online account does

If you use an El Fahd account, you can upload rental documents for the team to review. The account's private document area is meant to save valid documents for later requests, but an upload alone does not approve a driver or confirm a booking. The website explains how the files are stored and how to request deletion after the applicable retention period.

If a second person may drive, mention that person before agreeing to the rental. Ask the team which documents and approvals are required for every proposed driver, since a document check for one person does not automatically cover another.

Check terms beyond eligibility

El Fahd does not require a security deposit. Still, ask for the final written rental terms: the selected car, dates, pickup and return points, total price, daily mileage allowance and extra-kilometre rate, and ask the team to confirm what the included insurance covers. Fuel is the renter's responsibility, and the car is returned at the fuel level recorded on handover. Traffic fines during the rental are the renter's responsibility under the published terms.

Payment is made at pickup, and El Fahd accepts cash, card and bank transfer. Sending an online request gives you a reference for follow-up, but the car and dates become firm only when the team confirms them.
